What an Innings...

If anybody missed out on the Gayle butchery yesterday, he missed out on one of the most dominant performances ever seen...

With 259 to chase, West Indies needed a good start to have any chance of reaching the Final and they were provided exactly that....a 154 run opening stand and that to broken by Chanderpaul Cramps. Both openers did the job and in a quick fashion too going well over 6 runs and over most of the time....but Gayle led from the front. I dont remember a single chance he gave to the fielding side. None of the sixes were a mishit and it was an exquisite innings consisting of 3 sixes and 17 fours. He eventually came back NOT OUT at 133 of 135 balls. It spelled class all over against the likes of Pollock, Ntini and Nel considered one of the best combination of fast bowlers in world cricket.

A dominating performance in the heat and humidity, it was an honour to watch a classy West Indian knock after quite some time. Its all well set up now. West Indies and Australia. Australia dominant and have only lost to the Caribbean side in this tournament. West Indies are in great form all around. I always like to favour the underdogs and I wont take my hands off West Indies this time either.

GO GO WINDIES!!!
