The Point of View

Sorry folks, but just have to promote these two other blogs which are close to me. I have to do this once and never do it again. Then if somebody finds it well and good, I wont promote it on my diary again.

The Point of View started as a yahoogroup and still is there. I took over the name in Feb 2002 and the next member came in around September 2002. The idea was to get rational thinkers out there, hopefully young so that positive dialogue could take place. The 'off-the-usual' type of discussions to healthy conversations for solutions. It took a while to get people to join as I wasnt sure if it was a loserly idea or a great one. Anyway I decided to go on with it and got in some good friends of mine and they loved the idea. The Point of View evolved with healthy discussions on various topics. It was fun.

It was slow but it was fun. We eventually managed to get some get togethers in as well and it was pretty good. With orkut evolving I managed to make it more public with a community as well. But unfortunately, priorities changed and tough work schedules and advanced studies led people to move out of the scene and POV is headed towards a silent death.

The Point of View Blog is an honest effort to revive the discussions and also make our conversations available for public viewing and comments. In this process, also trying to find newer members who would be interested to actually post on the blog.

So, thats that, a brief boring promotion. At least pay one visit. I have posted some conversations and contributions from different people from the yahoogroup on the blog to at least get it started. Lets see how it develops. I wont let it die its silent death though. Hopefully, there would always be someone to post or comment.
